It is a point Shapefile that includes the locations of sewage treatment plants, but not their discharge locations to surface or groundater. The National Pollution Discharge Elimintation Discharge System (NPDES) number is included with each plant. This information updated on a continuous basis by the Bureau of Waste Management, Department of Environmental Protection. The sewage treatment plants are mapped on 7½ Minute U.S. Geological Survey topographic quadrangle maps and digitized at 1:24,000 scale.
